This blog is created by Vartika Dwivedi from Lucknow, India as a part of my AS level Media Studies curriculum . Media in current context is a powerful way to communicate the thoughts , messages and emotions .

In today's world media has become as  essential as our daily needs . Media of today. is playing an outstanding role in creating and shaping of public opinion and strengthening of society . According to me it gives alternative world views for every topic that pique our individual interests . 

As the fourth pillar of democracy along with judiciary and legislature , media of today has an  embracing  role to act against the injustice , oppression , misdeeds and partiality of our society. Apart from making people aware of their surroundings, Media educates and entertains through print , film , podcasts and the internet . 

I find Media studies really interesting and that was one of the reasons why I opted for it , not only because it's engaging but it is a subject which every time gives me a opportunity to embrace my creativity in multiple ways - text , audio and visual .
